Animal:Human comparative oncology link

Animal:Human comparative oncology link
Perhaps this link will be of interest to those curious about animal trials being used to in the development of human treatments.

As an aside, I remember following another company, whose oncology technology was progressing slowly, and then they announced that they had come up with a cancer diagnostic kit with very high accuracy for companion animals. It was viewed as a fast way to market, and therefore something that would help fund human research. Unfortunately, although the company did sell a few kits, their claims appeared to be a bit of a scam, and they gradually petered out. Nonetheless, it brought to light how influential the companion pet market is now as empty nesters are spending more and more on their animals, and yet developers don't face the same magnitude of hurdles as they would in human oncology.
