RE:CNR and market volatility

The fact that the VIX is down has little to do with the fact that most of the market is UP. The VIX is a volatility index. Stocks can be UP or DOWN when volatility is high. It's just a matter of by how much. When the VIX is DOWN, the volatility, and thus price movement of the stocks, is less, thus smaller moves, either UP or DOWN of the stocks.
