RE:RE:RE:Odessa contractHi 75oetb,
>>>
The Odessa contract has never been touted as a big fuel source.<<<
You & I know that, but some of the "Johnny Come Lately" pumpers don't.......to quote one of them........the "sludge from the treatment process will be convertd to fuel" I wish.....LOL!!!!!
>>>Why all the freaking out questions about specifics that don't even matter? The water is not even coming from frac ops... actually going to... so why the question about salts? Who cares at this point? <<<
Specifics matter very much.........DD has repeatably made statements like this: In the long-term, RDX Technology officials have said they want to develop pipelines to take produced water and flow back water off leases so it could be recycled.
and this..............................
RDX Technology officials want to develop pipelines to take produced and flow back water off leases, Danzik said.
“We believe we can show the State of Texas how a lot of this water can be recycled,” Danzik said. “And we are working very, very hard on that process right now.”
==========================================================================
Those above quotes were taken from news stories about RDX's Odessa plant.............
So 75oetb..............what are you going to add upfront to remove that salt from produced water? It is a costly thing to do......no??? If DD decides to do this next year will it be ZLD??? RO??? What about the solid & liquid waste disposal part for these systems??? Read more $$$$$$$$.
I would argue that "Specifics do Matter" & hopefully DD gets the numbers correct on the first try......RDX don't need another Carthage!!!
Hopefully DD gets his dealings done correctly with the siting & permitting folks and theTCEQ, and local wastewater operators/facilities, PUC boards & OSHA, and so on, and so on......... (even Texas cares about the environment!!!), screw-ups and delays are costly + its never a good idea to put up any red flags" for those folks.........better to have a good relationship with them.
We don't need another Santa Fe either!!!
I'm hoping all the RDX recycled pipeline water capacity (incoming and outgoing) is spoken for and that incoming water to RDX's treatment plant has been pretreated or is grey water, only needs basic treatment to turn it into reclaimed water for industry (oil field / fracking) usage.
If RDX can keep from taking in frac or produced water at Odessa I'm all for it.
Cheers!!!
