RE:RE: On NVS vaccine divestitureDisagree somewhat Spirdolai.  We don't know how the sale was actually framed.  I agree, if you buy a "company" all the skeletons in the closet go with it.  Its highly unlikely they bought the "company".  They simply bought the "asset" from NVS. Huge difference.  I have sold two small businesses in my lifetime held in numbered companies.  The purchasers refused to buy the companies for the same reason we are arguing here.  They wanted no part of any unforeseen liabilities, but they were intent on purchasing the assets from the company.  It changes tax issues but at least they know they start with a clean title void of any legal issues down the road.  Its common practice.
