Observations From Tallestdude

Observations From TallestdudeThanks for your insightful analysis of the Honig –Frost team. I have not run in to them in the past and have to make my judgments of them for the time being based on how they are seen by the LVN management team.

You appear to have some insights into their past history. There are certainly enough crony capitalists, greedy politicians and other characters running around loose on “Wall Street” and “Washington” now days that it is no wonder that the average citizen finds it hard to trust anyone of power and concentrated wealth. Having said that, so far it remains to be seen how the Honig-Frost team behaves itself with respect to LVN. The LVN team is well invested in LVN and so far has performed internally with Cordero pretty much as planned since I invested with them in 2010.

As LVN investors, we have been the victims of the price acton in the precious metals markets. The market for gold and silver has been manipulated big time by central banks, governments and large players like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, HSBC and others. It remains to be seen how much longer that will be the case for physical gold demand.

This new arrangement between LVN and Honig-Frost appears to represent a new operating strategy over sitting around with the Cordero project waiting for metals prices to go up. I think that we should give them a chance to see what they come up with as an operating plan and any announcements of additional acquisitions that will enhance shareholder value. From what I can glean, we should expect a lot of news announcements in the next several months and should know a lot more by spring of 2015. I don’t think that any of us are currently in a position to ascribe a lot of negative attributes for this particular plan for the time being.

The Honig-Frost team appears to be new to the mining market. I think that Vic will become the key player to evaluate the geological merit of the various acquisition opportunities they will be reviewing. I have enormous respect for his knowledge. He is a straight forward conservative guy with a real talent for identifying solid prospects.

I suspect that Honig-Frost see the coming global catastrophe in currency and monetary systems and are looking for ways to protect their wealth and benefit from the store of value aspects that gold and silver have traditionally had. I personally think that Jim Rickards and others have it pegged about right. It all  depends on which Black Swan Nest produces a trigger event that will send the house of cards that has been built up since the end of WW2 to come crashing down. We can’t tell the “when” or the “magnitude” of the crash, but It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or a dermatologist to figure out that governments can’t solve a debt problem by borrowing and spending more money without an eventual consequence.

I did note in some of the things that I have read about the Honig-Frost team that  in addition to their successes they have run into some problems in the past and was wondering if you were one of the victims of those experiences and could share your experiences with the Bullboard.
