("Fancamp" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: FNC) announces that at the Company's Annual Meeting held on October 30, 2014, its shareholders voted in favour of the management nominees to the board of directors of the Company, namely Paul Ankcorn, Mark Billings, Debra Chapman, Gilles Dubuc, Fouad Kamaleddine, Ashwath Mehra, Mel de Quadros and Peter H. Smith.
In addition, the Company announced the re-appointment of MNP LLP as auditors of Fancamp for the ensuing year and the re-approval of the Company's incentive stock option plan. A total of 39,778,890 shares of Fancamp's 138,909,236 issued and outstanding shares at the record date were voted at the meeting.
Peter H. Smith, Fancamp's President, CEO and Chairman said, "The current market environment is as bad as we have ever experienced, but the Company is well equipped to survive it, given its asset base and continued support by shareholders. Furthermore, the appointment of Mr. Mike Flanagan, M.Sc.A, P.Geo as V.P. Exploration, will ensure valuable continuity in this important aspect of the business. It should be noted Mr. Flanagan was responsible for the discovery of the high grade Black Horse Chromite Deposit on the Company's Ring of Fire property, currently under option to Bold and KWG Resources and for the early definition of the Lac Lamelee iron deposit now under development by Lamelee Iron Ore."
In a separate statement, Mr. Smith also noted Mr. J. Patrick Sheridan's great contribution to the Company's original acquisition of its iron sector properties, at a time when no one was interested in such things, and which properties today now form the foundations of four iron companies; The Magpie Mines, Lamelee Iron, Champion Iron, and its associated company, Cartier Iron.
