RE:RE:WaynedPhosphate investment should be a good idea. US and China now are the biggest producers of phosphate fertilizers, but the supply of rock will be an issue later. For instance, a recent report indicated that the phos rock supply in China can only last for 70 years. As a result the Chinese government has ordered to limit production & export.
FCV's management is exploring opportunities to find strategic partners from East and South Asia. Given their success in finding Daewoo for its silver, it is likely that they succeed again for phosphate. I expect India or China to jump in. China has been relying on S.A for grains, oil, and iron ores; phos rock could be their next target. India is the largest consumer and importer of phos fertilizer, and may want to secure a rock supply source.
