The government asked the parliamentary committee not to consider the arrest of Centerra Gold Inc. shares.

On the agenda was the question of the measures taken by the Government on behalf of "Kyrgyzaltyn" for the protection of seized assets in the Canadian gold mining company Centerra at the request of Stans Energy decision of the Supreme Court of Ontario (Canada). However, as the committee chairman announced, the Cabinet on behalf of the first Vice Prime Minister Taiyrbek Sarpashev requested to defer consideration.

The committee members didn't mind.

Recall, Canadian company Stans Energy Corp has made renewal arrest of 47 million shares of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC. Having considered all the arguments and arguments of Kyrgyzaltyn and Stans Energy Corp., the Ontario Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Court dated October 10. Earlier, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce decided to recover $118.2 million from Kyrgyzstan.

The Court noted that Stans Energy Corp. gave serious evidence that the claim should be satisfied in Ontario and shares of Kyrgyzaltyn can be withdrawn.
