NEC Licenses WiLAN Technologies
OTTAWA, CANADA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/10/09 -- Wi-LAN Inc. ("WiLAN" or the "Company") (TSX: WIN), a leading technology innovation and licensing company, is pleased to announce that NEC Corporation (NEC) of Tokyo, Japan has agreed to a multi-year license agreement to WiLAN patented technology. This license will provide NEC access to WiLAN technology for use in their extensive portfolio of domestic and export ADSL products.

NEC, a leading provider of systems, components, services and integrated solutions for computing and communications applications is the dominant supplier of ADSL equipment in Japan. Their product portfolio includes a range of ADSL equipment, including Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexers (DSLAM) and Customer Premise Modems.
The specific terms of the agreement are confidential. The signing of this license with NEC brings the total number of companies that have licensed WiLAN technologies to 204.
