So FOB terms and customer loyalty reducing measures, like forcing them to buy more than they need, are Veritas' arguments?

With the number of competitors everyone is fretting about all the time, It's not as if Avigilon has such a big hold on the market that customers can't choose to deal with another vendor if they aren't happy with the terms they get from Avigilon.

If Avigilon is consistently outpacing their competition, they are obviously doing something right, like offering better products, software, and support to their customers at a price that's at least as good as the competition's.
