RE:Curious to know who bought this??? Yes, they could have explicitly mentioned that it was to cover this "unexpected" opportunity to build a strong land position contiguous to the existing land they have.

Much easier to "swallow" than to say for "drilling capital expenditures and general expenses"...

Not sold well but as you said, better that than load up on debt further and/or reduce the growth profile. That acquisition is definitely a positive. The reserves will shoot up once they start drilling on it.
