RE:comparing contribution margins per ton (SLCA vs. NI) - 2014 Whats up with the Friday after close report? Espescially on their first ever report showing revenue you would think NI would be proud to show the world they are in business. I knew something was up when the sp wasnt moving up or the volume for that matter prior to todays report.
Numbers are only ok as margin was well below what was projected. Would be interested to see where the shortfall was. Was the sand sold at a lower price or was the sand bought at source higher then projected. Guessing it was the cost of the sand at the source as frac sand prices have increased in the last couple of months. Phase 2 wont come on line until Q3 (hopefully) so we can only hope increased sales in the next few months for better numbers.
Sell on the news as they say. But dont give up on this.
