Bentek projections on U.S LNG buildout,- read carefullySoutheast/Gulf Observer - Bentek raises its LNG export forecast Due to the changing global supply picture in conjunction with greater-than-expected demand for US LNG, Bentek has revised its LNG export forecast ...to include Corpus Christi, Jordan Cove, and trains 5&6 of Sabine Pass. Under the revised LNG export forecast, US LNG exports rise to 6.7 Bcf/d in 2019, reaching nearly 12 Bcf/d by 2022. From a global perspective, Bentek believes that US LNG has proven to be the supply of choice among not only Asian buyers, but European buyers and international gas marketers as well. The primary reasons the US has been so attractive are that US LNG exports are gas price indexed, offer lower construction cost risks, and are hedgeable through upstream investment. Increased LNG export demand in the Southeast will support premiums across the region and require high utilization of backhaul expansions, particularly during the summer months. 11/17/2014 | 5:18 AM Southeast/Gulf Observer (Daily)
