I really don't see the significant difference between Longrun and Whitecap . Yet one is 14 and the other under 3 . What I would like to see is that Longrun goes to a stock dividend for at least half the payout . I would also like to see capital expenditures reduced at this time . The resulting savings would be totally applied to reduce the debt level . I really don't know why management of Longrun and similar type companies allow the debt level to get excessive . We know we can't run our households that way .Obviously too , I would like for the company to get rid of non core assets . We really need to get the debt under control while interest rates are still low . Hard to believe that Longrun pays management exorbitant pay packages while the shareholder is left holding the bag . To say I am discouraged with the Longrun stock performance is an understatement .
it can go higher but lower is a possibility even with that yield, the debt is insanely high for a company that has a market cap of 534m as of today's close. Market is not even pricing in that yield as most expects it to get suspended if oil prices continues its decent, its attractive and caught my eye but not sustainable, mgmt is likely already talking about cutting it or eliminate altogether until better oil prices.
I'll be a buyer of the stock at 2 though even w/o the dividend. Or I'm wrong about the dividend continues to be paid monthly just because...
