<upPuma Exploration Samples 2.0% Cu Over 6 Meters at Turgeon South Copper Project in New Brunswick RIMOUSKI, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Nov. 20, 2014) - Puma Exploration (TSX VENTURE:PUM) is pleased to announce the results of the channel sampling and regional trenching programs conducted at Turgeon South area of the Turgeon Cu-Zn Project in northern New Brunswick. The most recent results confirm the high grade copper and silver results from the 2013 prospecting program. To view a map showing the location of the Bern zone and the stripped area, please visit the following link: https://media3.marketwire.com/docs/980167_Bern_Puma.pdf Stripping of Bern Zone The Bern Zone is located 4 km south of the Turgeon Cu-Zn VMS Project and is now stripped over an area of 75 meters by 25 meters. Six (6) channels for a total of 64 meters were collected at regular spacing of 10 meters along strike. The best channel returns 2.0% Cu and 3.2g/t Ag over 6.0 meters including 2.6% Cu over 4.0 meters. The Bern zone ranges from 5 to 10 meters wide and strikes continuously along the stripped area for 75 meters. It is composed of interlayered quartz-chalcopyrite-bornite veins and chlorite-quartz-chalcopyrite schists within a silicified gabbro. The gabbro host rock also shows anomalous copper content of up-to 0.5% Cu. Table 1. The samples grade respectively 13.4% Cu, 9.7% Cu and 6.5% Cu. We anticipate restarting the striping program immediately following the spring melt. Trenching Program at Turgeon South Seven trenches for a total length of 1,240 meters were completed on the Turgeon South project to mainly define the extension of the Bern Zone but also to verify geochemical soil anomalies. The program lead to the discovery of the Bern Zone, 125 meters east of the eastern end of the stripped area. Similar copper mineralisation was found and grab samples from the trench contain 2.1% Cu, 1.1% Cu and 0.3% Cu indicating a total length of the Bern Zone of at least 200 meters. Moreover, 800 meters east of the Bern Zone, a gabbro unit containing anomalous copper content with respectively 0.8% Cu, 0.6% Cu and 0.5% Cu was discovered. The gabbro is similar than the host rock at the Bern Zone and could represent a significant eastward extension of the Bern Zone. The newly discovered Bern Zone is located only 4km south of the Powerline Cu-Zn VMS Deposit. The Powerline Deposit showed significant copper and zinc mineralization in drillhole FT09-01 grading 1.17% Cu and 0.06% Zn over 93.2 meters and in drillhole FT10-02 grading 1.13% Cu and 0.71% Zn over 108.5 meters (see Press Release 21-02-2013). Puma is currently drilling the Cu-Zn VMS Turgeon Project and finalizing the stripping and trenching program at Brunswick North to locate the prospective Nepisiguit Fall key stratigraphic unit and more massive sulphides.
