RE:Glenn Laing "Boy I hope we get a few more cents upwards so I can put this dead money towards a better management group."
PatchHand, it's funny that you are desperately hoping for a small gain so you can get out while I'm writing a cheque to buy more. One of us must be wrong. I guess time will tell.
Really it all comes down to whether or not you believe that Ecuador will change it's mining laws or not. The resource has been essentially proven and the only thing that's holding the price down is the uncertainty in the mining law change. Personally, I think the management is pretty good - definitely better than the last few companies I've been a shareholder of - but even if the management wasn't "good" if the laws were to change we'll all make money on the outcome. Excellent management will mean that we make more money than we would make with good mangement but we'll make money either way.
You have posted a few times that you don't see solid information posted to confirm the positive sentiments. Have you gone to the corporate website? Have you read and understood the 43-101? It's a proven resource! It's not like we're sitting and waiting for drill results to see if there's actually anything there - IT IS THERE!
One of the best strategies I've found through my years of investing is to follow the money. If a large corporate investor buys, or sells, it's good sign that things are moving in a certain direction - up or down. We have Aura who owns a hugely significant portion of the shares of EGX and they have just put more money in.
So:
1. Proven resource
2. Large corporate investor confidence
3. Stated goal of Ecuador governement to change laws in our favour
4. Opportunity for current shareholders to buy into PP at low price
How much more do you want? In all my years of investing I've never seen such an alignment. I'm buying!
