RE:Silver Lining

RE:Silver LiningRCAF, nice post. I sat here thinking about it. I feel I made a Big Mistake and I didn't see it coming at all.

I'm involved in a couple of hi tech oriented businesses. I see the rapid changes everyday. I'm amazed. It always keeps me struggling to keep up with change.

I like fracking. I now realize we are at the beginning of its use. Imagine when newer hi tech methods are used to wring every drop of oil out of the Saudi rocks. Teslas are more and more common. More jobs become home based. Even more people shop online. Those are the first things I can think of. There will be so many things which are yet to come.

Gasoline useage in the US is now down to 1990s levels.

Fact is, we humans have amazing brains. We will improve things forever. Can we say for sure that oil will always be our energy source? I don't think so. Even if it is used for many more decades, can you imagine fracking spreading world wide and into old fields where only a small percentage of oil was extracted.

We are in the computer age and things are changing rapidly. I should have been more nimble. I won't forget this mistake.
