RE:Where are the buyers? The market is still very limited at this early stage for this infant industry. There are still political challenge and financial challenge as well.
A profitable black market does not mean you can be same profitable when it turns legitimate. The reasons are:
1, Scale – when you are scaling up, there will be lot of costs involved. Before you see any profit, your balance sheet remains aweful.
2, Overhead – the state of art growing room means lot of over heard on top of the growing cost. It is not Mom/Papa’s bedroom anymore.
3, Pot Buyers – We all know that the majority of the port buyers are not sick person rather healthy and want to get high. So, the legit buyers for this new industry is very limited. Handful of them will be split among 20 growers. The ideal result is 2000 each. That is barely enough to make a company profitable.
The whole hope is recreational pot which is still far fetch. Nobody knows if these company would have enough cash to survive that far.
This is the reason, there is no stock buyers showing up and scooping shares without even thing about it.
This is a sad reality.
