Seller obviously wants to liquidiate some shares. Turn it into cold hard cash.

But will not sell into weak market depth.

You don't just have 1 guy show up, you slowly see more bids show up, enough to make it liquid enough to make the seller pull the trigger.

On one side, you have a negative effect because of the large volume sells. On the otherside, you have the positive effect that you actually brought in more bids because of the pricing.

Chicken and egg, which came first.
