RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:another new lowThere was a time when Iqaluit was considered pretty remote. Not anymore. The infrasture is sufficient for this project for sure. In many ways, it is better than many sites in the north. The fact that you can get a barge there for a couple of months of the year, and fly for the rest makes it not so remote. It requires more careful planning to take advantage of barge shipping over flight but it is certainly possible. Shipping by barge is just about the cheapest shipping there is. Planning mistakes can be very costly though. I would imagine there are one or two 737's from the south each day? How many ice free days does Iqaluit get?
