debentures

debenturesI find it a little alarming that the debentures have been selling off so significantly recently. (Much more alarming than the sell-off of the common.)

The bids have vanished, and there have been some big blocks of the B series on the ask sub-$40. Not sure what would be causing this at this juncture.  Any speculation?   Maybe anticipation of a slowdown in the west?
