RE:RE:RE:RE:High stakes chess...thanks for the belly laugh. I didnt know there was anyone on the planet who looked at the GK JV as a growth vehicle for exploration, given the facts born out during the past 12 years.  DeBeers at first dragged their feet probably thinking that they couild eventually steal the remaining 49% of the GK asset they didnt own When it became obvious that that strategy was a failure for many  reasons (chief among them the TIGS) they just put  it into neutral and waited out the permitting process.  The prospect of the GK vehicle as an exploration vehicle beyond the pipes already in the mine plan was further put to rest when MPV spuin out KDI.  How  in the world anyone would  have the expectation that the GK JV would be an exploration growth vehicle, given the past 15 years of the facts on the ground  is way beyond my ability to comprehend.  But hey, to each his own set of expectations.

BTW, if you think it was routine in getting DB to agree to drill Deep Tuzo, think again.  There was little to NO incentive for them to do so at this point in time, but for the heavy insistence of PE.  And I am sure that he had some leverage to "convince" them to do so.  Thats about as much "exploration" you are going to see with the GK JV. If you're looking for an diamond exploration vehicle, the GK JV as currently configured is the wrong place to look.
