RE:RE:RE:RE:Sad News - Square has passedIf you think about it, the majority of human activity here on earth is mimicking how cancer behaves in our body.....convert someone genuinely good and turn them bad, consume far more than is rightfully ours and feel like we have to take over everything, generally leaving things worse off than how they were before. NO SINGLE PERSON has an answer for the macro OR the micro. NOT ONE! But they'll all tell you they think they might. Everybody has ideas......
So, do you know what happened in London, Ontario circa mid-1990's before I was at UWO? Some "doctor" was performing open heart bypass surgeries. I do not know the exact number, but it was over 50 of them. Not one person died during these surgeries. Not one. All patients said they felt better afterwards and most said they were SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER.
Now let's talk about INTEGRITY. It comes out that this "doctor" is no doctor at all. Self taught. Good Samaritan. Whatever. So what does the hospital do? THEY REMOVE HIM FROM THE STAFF. At this point, keep in mind these are EDUCATED people making this decision. Which used to scare me, but now just depresses me :(. "We have to maintain the integrity of the education system", is what they say. Are you FN kidding me!?!?!? Haha. Fools!!
I don't understand how companies (and Health care systems) can be so naive as to think that the ONLY PEOPLE THEY NEED are institutionally educated people, when all it tells me is that you DONT NEED TO KNOW SOMETHING, but that you need to be willing to FOLLOW SOMETHING. Wonderful! That is exactly the OPPOSITE of who you want to be finding your cure for cancer and performing your open heart surgeries. They paid their tuition money so they paid their dues to humanity and BOUGHT their right to finally be called "doctor".
Long and short of it, whoever removed the surgeon who was helping those sick people out should seriously consider their own worth as a citizen, regardless of their glorified over-education. I can't help but assume that the FDA is OVER RUN with people like this.....
In closing, it's too bad that, when JFK declared to his people that they would be to the moon by the end of the decade, the goal was not something useful. Like "curing cancer by the end of the decade", or "stopping the violent and heinous crimes by the end of the decade", or even "legalize all drugs and prostitution and tax it, taking the floor out from underneath all organized crime so we don't even have a war on drugs". But no. We settled on the easiest, most finite choice of all. Going to the moon. Awesome.
Well, I'm not going to the moon. I'm going to have a smoke and chug a monster. No matter how much smarter than that you all may be, or maybe just think that you are, the point is that it's all insignificant because NO ONE is nearly smart enough for what NEEDS TO BE DONE. Carpe Diem is bullchit. Seize the day? All I'm asking is the "certified smart" do SOMETHING!
