This is just strange market noise...unless someone knows something that I don't. I invite other perspectives though!


Could be some investors are liquidating REITs to buy oil company stock.  Some may think there is more short term upside in oil stocks than REITs.

Could also be year-end repositioning by some institutional investors.

Regardless,  I think it makes for a good opportunity for smaller retail investors like me who have a long-term perspective.
