Canoe EIT Income Fund (the Fund) is a Canada-based closed-end investment trust. RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Downside/risks of EITThe 9 pages of risks outlined in the AIF are all valid but also fairly standard relative to all other public financials. There is nothing in the risks section that is groundbreaking, shocking or even unique. I keep looking for something else that makes this not so great and havent found it yet. All of the issues you have mentioned are valid but to be expected. If the majority of investors found their model broken the unit price would have tanked. It hasn't. In fact it has steadily returned around 10% per year for almost 5 years. There's nothing wrong with deciding the fund isn't for you and investing elsewhere. But there is also ntohing wrong with a 10% return per year for several years. I would be curious to know what you have invested in with the money from the EIT units you had sold. Disclosure: long EIT
