I don't think anyone bought the stock because this bullboard was more exciting than most they bought it because the business has been given a huge leg up by a major player and the stock should rise in due course. I guess if your horizon is one day then this was a mistake, very sad for the traders it's true.
The funds are desperate to clean up their books for year end and minimize the numbers of losing positions if possible so their shareholders don't walk aweigh in disgust so they are forsed to sell anything that provides liquidity because so few will.
We are getting lucky because they are throwing out the baby with the bath water !!
