"Mencanggah and Selodong were subsequently transferred to the company PT Indotan Inc. (Indotan) under permits issued on June 25, 2005. Indotan, with the support of its international parent company Southern Arc Minerals (Canada), has continued to explore the Sekotong area. Analytical results released by Indotan quantify the gold concentration in the Sekotong resource to range from 1.0-71 g/t and 2-217 g/t silver (Tekmira, 2009). The exploration permit granted in June 2005 expired on July 07, 2007 and the legal status of exploration and mining activities since this time is a matter of some conjecture. The Spatial Plan of West Nusa Tenggara Province (RTRW No.11) 2006) created in 2006, states that the Sekotong area is reserved for fishery, tourism and agriculture, and not for mining (Lombok Barat, 2009). Exploration permits (SIPP) and a mining licence (IUP) over much of Sekotong were re-granted to PT Indotan Inc. in November 11, 2010 to a total area of 10,088 ha. "

Hard rock mining for ASGM within the Sekotong Regency is concentrated at three main locations across two villages:

1) Kayu Putih Mountain at Pelangan village, with the coordinates 115 ° 56 '25.68 "East Longitude and 08 ° 46' 43.04" South latitude, ± 100 meters from Sekotong pelangan main road.

2) Gunung Batu Montor at Kedaro village, with the coordinates 115 ° 59 '48.05 "East Longitude and 08 ° 50' 50.30" latitude South, situated at a ± 600 meters above sea level and ± 600 meters from the Belongas Pelangan road

3) Gunung Pondok Ganjar at Kedaro village, the coordinates 115 ° 58 '56.46 "East Longitude and 08 ° 51' 25.65" South latitude, situated at ± 600 m above sea level, and ± 200 meters from the Belongas Pelangan road.

Each of these locations is within the currently permitted exploration area of PT. Indotan Inc. Furthermore, these areas are within the Sekotong Community Mining Region. The Sekotong WPR is fully enclosed within land currently permitted for exploration and mining to Indotan.
