Many rely on dividends for income so you have to respect them for giving people time to adjust.
Personnally, I cannot see oil staying at this price for very long. Supply will get cut by way too much and the balance will shift the other way within a few months.  If that is not the case I am sure they willl cut more. But I see this as a prudent and realistic cut that doesn't kill income investors.
Once oil recovers LNV will look like a good buy at these levels.
