Talisman Mining Limited is an Australia-based mineral development and exploration company. Yarindury Project is located 30km east of Dubbo in the Macquarie Volcanic Arc of central-western NSW.

competing bids/closing date & FX riskwhat is everyone doing re: the closing date? i am going to hold out a little while to see if that CPP bid materializes (or another bid - who knows what Carl has up his sleeve), but might just cash out after that given the state of the CAD/USD.

CAD is pretty weak right now - might be better off selling in the next few weeks than waiting for the transaction to close and seeing the CAD rebound against the USD. i have a fairly large # of shares and have been a shareholder for ~2 years.

it's nice to see my investment thesis play out (i bought in because i knew TLM was an acquisition target) but at the same time this was such an opportunistic bid for Repsol. guess i'm just lucky to make it out of this trade alive because who knows where the O&G sector is going these days.
