RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Supply and DemandIt’s a subsidy whether it is received as a tax break or a dolling out of our hard earned cash.  Freidman and Keynesians will split hairs on this but when it comes to who is paying for it it makes no difference whatsoever to the working stiffs who foot the bill. The trouble with economists is they do not include social performance in their determination of economic performance.  i.e Did Harper really balance the budget or did he cut back on, veterans care, health care, mental health, northern sovereignty initiatives, public transportation and critical infrastructure all being elements that differentiate between that of living in an economy or a society. When times are good living in an economy looks good to some but by far not all. When times are bad, those who get hit particularly hard are the same majority who did not benefit when times were good.
