RE:RE:2014 Allana Potash Top NEWS Developments
RE:RE:2014 Allana Potash Top NEWS DevelopmentsAwesome post Ferti, and hey Canada just took a 3 to 1 lead in the third period.
I notice the Paid Basher Pennypincher is on here reposting garbage again. Too bad he has to work on New Years Eve. Ferti, do you think he gets paid Overtime for working tonight? I feel bad for him.
Go Canada Go.

1) Great companies require great people. - Ms. Betty-Ann Heggie has joined Allana's board of directors. Betty-Ann Heggie is the former Senior Vice-President, Corporate Relations of PotashCorp of Saskatchewan. She retired in 2007 after 26 years with the company. During her tenure with PotashCorp, Ms. Heggie was responsible for all areas that affected the company's public presence, especially relations with shareholders and key stakeholders. She advised the board on corporate governance issues and initiated the corporate sustainability program. Under her leadership, PotashCorp received the Award of Excellence from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in three consecutive years.
2) An alliance with a potash major - Allana Potash Corp. (TSX: AAA) (“Allana” or the "Company") announces that it has secured a strategic alliance with ICL, one of the world’s largest fertilizer producers.
Farhad Abasov, President and CEO of Allana, commented “We are pleased about our strategic alliance with ICL. This is a significant and defining milestone in our Company’s history, paving the path towards the transformation of Allana into a major, global potash producer. This strategic alliance is comprehensive and encompasses three major aspects that are critical to the success of a new potash project: 1) financial support; 2) a take-or-pay offtake; and 3) technical cooperation. 3) Detailed Mine planning - Allana Potash Corp. (TSX:AAA) ("Allana" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has engaged AMEC Americas Limited ("AMEC") to complete Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) on its one million tonne per year MOP Danakhil Potash Project in Ethiopia as preparatory work in anticipation of the completion of project financing and expected start of construction.
Farhad Abasov, President and CEO of Allana, commented, "We are extremely pleased to have engaged AMEC to complete the FEED portion of the EPCM work for our Danakhil Potash Project. AMEC brings a wealth of experience in the potash industry including process design, solution mining and construction management to the operation, which we believe will advance our project in preparation for the construction phase. We look forward to working with AMEC to optimize and finalize the project design and advance the project to the next level. The initiation of the FEED work is a first for the potash industry in Ethiopia and represents another milestone accomplishment for Allana and the government of Ethiopia.
4) SOP PEA Study Initialized - Allana Potash Corp. (TSX:AAA) ("Allana" or the "Company") announces that it has engaged ERCOSPLAN Ingenieurgesellschaft Geotechnik und Bergbau ("ERCOSPLAN") to complete a Preliminary Economic Assessment ("PEA") on Kainitite resources that may be amenable to SOP production on its Danakhil Project in Ethiopia.
Farhad Abasov, President and CEO of Allana, commented, "We are pleased to have engaged ERCOSPLAN to complete a PEA evaluating the potential of the vast Kainitite resources on the Danakhil Project. As we move to completion on the development of our MOP operations, it makes sense to start to plan for the development of SOP as an Allana product line, particularly given the extent of our estimated SOP-based resource. The SOP PEA will proceed independently but in parallel with our development and optimization work on our MOP production facility as outlined in the MOP project's Feasibility Study completed in 2013. The Kainitite is ubiquitous on our project license and management believes a positive PEA may allow Allana to add significant value for our shareholders. If the results of the SOP PEA are positive Allana may consider establishing a special purpose company dedicated to developing the SOP resources for sale in the global market."
5) Optimization Updates - SW3 SOP Well initiated - Allana Potash Corp. (TSX:AAA) ("Allana" or the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on optimization studies currently underway on its Danakhil Potash Project in Ethiopia and on additional project infrastructure activities.
Farhad Abasov, President and CEO of Allana, commented, "Our optimization studies continue to progress and will provide additional important information on the mining methodology as well as long term water supply parameters for operations. Well SW3 is currently undercut leaching the Kainitite horizon and brine will be pumped to the ponds for crystal crop generation to assist in the ongoing SOP studies. Initial indications from the observation wells and the pumping wells point to high flow rates of greater than 100 cubic metres per hour as well as very low dissolved solids, indicating the water is likely suitable for solution mining and processing.
While there are other news and investor updates, I classify the above five items as the TOP NEWS MAKERS for Allana Potash in 2014. While we have not seen the market react to this news the real catalyst in my opinion will be the completion of financing slated for Q1 2015.
Wishing you all a prosperous and succesful 2015.
