I am still learning myself.  However, from a high level and taking from what MMN refered to on another board, what I see is some brokers playing games with someone else's money to increase their commissions.  What you and I see (as self-investors) as a questionable or poor decision, brokers may see as an opportunity to increase their take.  Where they are not personally invested in the moves they make, there is no concern on their part.  The brokers are given money by indiviuals to manage as they (the brokers) see fit.  If these individuals were to follow up on what the brokers are doing with their money, then they would surely be upset.  However, until then, game on.
