Silent movie
Silent movieBoth "Communications" posts made good points - each underscoring the feeble story that ARF management tells again and again. But an even sadder realisation is that shareholders have also been much too silent, demanding way too little and tolerating a situation which, at least in part, might have given this movie a different ending. Only 25% of shares in issue decided on the current Board of Directors, an enormous mistake. What happened to the holders of the other 75%? An active, solution-focused Board might have brought in senior management changes and a strategy for salvaging this company. Instead, the cast of highly-compensated people without a winning plan is unchanged, the debt and the payables have ballooned, the jobs and careers of approximately 1500 employees have been put at risk and a once-valuable corporate reputation has perished. And yes, the same silent movie is still showing.
