RE:RE:RE:News

RE:RE:RE:NewsThe competition, as I see it, is from J&J's Sterrad and Steris's V-Pro, both of which are H2O2 sterilizers. The ETO sterilizers are not in the picture due to toxicity, inefficiencies, and costs. Even the instrument makers are trying to ensure that their products are H2O2 compatible going forward. The J&J sterilizer has been the go to in the past but there are serious problems with reliability, according to my hospital sources, and the cycle time is 2+ hours. The real competition is the V-Pro from Steris which has cycle times more or less equivalent to the TSO3 unit, and also uses a 'proprietary’ vapour injection system to better penetrate instruments, (recall TSO3 has a patent pending on their proprietary injection system supplemented with Ozone). TSO3 suggests their process and results are better, with a larger load size. But, Steris is already in the market. Rumble knows them well, as he used to work for them. This is why I feel the companies who will want to partner with or take over TOS are Gentinge and 3M, who don't have similar units and need to get into this market as soon as possible. And, this is why I feel TSO3 needs to get out into the market now, to grab market share, especially for replacing the large central processing ETO units and less efficient other units such as that from J&J that hospitals are very anxious to retire as soon as practical.
The result of the mystery meetings this week and last will tell the tale for TOS, as Eunice has suggested. We should know something in a day or two.
