RE:Canexus - a sitting duck in Chemtrade's sights
phoenix_trader wrote: Chemtrade makes an acquisition roughly once a year and the last was Jan, 2014. CHE did a bought deal last month for $115 million so they are "cashed up" and on target to generate EBITDA in the $225 million range for 2014. MC is about 3 X CUS and the chemicals business is a logical fit. Is "Mismanaged per CIBC" CUS the target, you betcha!!! P.S. Duck hunting season closes soon!!!

Sometime over the last few months I was speaking with a friend (we both own Canexus) and said something to him like "If I were Chemtrade right now I would be licking my lips looking at Canexus". But I don't have anything to back up that they actually are...

Does anybody have any insight on Chemtrade's M&A policy or target objectives or have they said anything regarding acquisition opporutnities over the last 6 months?

What was the stated purpose of the bought deal funds?
