RE:RE:What is better buy @ favored : another point to consider is "transaction costs + liquidity", transaction costs in tersms of time it will take for the shares to be converted into flinders shares after they sign a definitive agreement, which bring us to the other inconvenient : liquidity. If you buy FDR you can sell any time, if you buy NRT you could be stuck for some time with your stocks waiting for them to be converted (if you need money at that moment its not a nice thing). I suspect after signing the agreement and fliing for approval, TSX would delist NRT immediately after issuing its approval of the merger ? and then how much time it will take for the shares to be converted ?

because of all those undertainties (+ risk of not signing a deal) I preferred to buy direclty FDR at a high price premium, but at least I know what i am dealing with !
