I am doubtful that you could successfully execute that strategy.

ANV's SP will probably be very volatile for a long time.

Gold miners, in general, are about the most volatile sector.

There is still a large short interest and that adds to volatility.

 

Also, I think that it is highly unlikely that the SP will reach anywhere close to its all time high of $45, even if gold goes to $2000.

There have been many changes in the company since then, including more debt incurred and shareholder dilution.

Past performance at a particular POG, can't be relied on as probable to reoccur, IMO.
