RE:any idea ORL is not even sure how much they can produce yet as they are still in the evaporation process , they won't be moving any lithium until they have enough for a shipment.
But they are using the old evaporation method whereas LAC is using POSCOs new chemical extraction method , they are supposed to be able to extract more lithium in much less time , as well as extract more lithium per gallon , at a higher purity , than the old way.
This new mill was supposed to be capable of 200 tons per year , minimum , but we'll see , it has taken one month to produce 6 tons so far , that's 72 tons per year at the current rate , but then , they are stil perfecting and refining the process , so I would imagine it will get better.
Or at least I hope so.
As for taking actual revenue to achieve higher share prices , I have my doubts , BCN has no revenue , and no way to extract their lithium yet , and still , their share price is three times what ours is , and their market cap is twice that of LAC.
My prediction of POSCO taking over LAC is still going to happen , but with the Koreans being the shrewd business men that they are , they will not make an offer untill all the data is in , that includes the current shipment being shipped , refined and sent to potential customers as well as their own battery making facility , if it all pans out , they will buy LAC.
If it doesn't , they will walk away , so it's still very risky , Mitsubishi is a far bigger entity than POSCO , and they chose to walk away from the same resource after spending millions , they must have had a good reason to do so.
