On Stockwatch ... Gold Summary for Jan. 15, 2015

by Stockwatch Business Reporter
Len Brownlie's Goldrush Resources Ltd. (GOD) remained unchanged at one cent on a busier-than-usual 4.64 million shares. The company has $3.25-million in cash and another $1-million on the way, thanks to Nord Gold BV, which has acquired Goldrush's Roguen gold property in Burkina Faso and is paying in stages. Roguen is six kilometres north of Nord Gold's Bissa gold mine, a location Goldrush promoted heavily over the past couple of years as it tried to find a joint venturer willing to help with drilling. Now, with $3.5-million in cash Goldrush can afford its own drilling. It owns six other gold properties in Burkina Faso. President Brownlie seems keen, buying 825,000 shares of Goldrush at a penny after the company closed its Roguen sale in November. The former shell maker has never been overly active in the market. He first joined Goldrush in 2001, and has been receiving a pleasingly modest $72,000 a year. He also runs a private company called Aerosports Research, which operates a wind tunnel in Vancouver. The tunnel helps Olympic athletes (and once cyclist Lance Armstrong) improve their speed and reduce drag. Nike even hired Mr. Brownlie to act as an aerodynamics consultant; he has been helping the sportswear giant design athletic wear.
