THRK. When a company buys its own shares, it cancels them. It's in no way a distraction, only a signal that they believe the shares in the company to be undervalued.
Canceling shares reduces shareholder dilution (the number of shares outstanding) thereby increasing earnings per share. That's a good thing for us.
