Corriente Website Shows Similarities to EGX

Corriente Website Shows Similarities to EGX
I see the Corriente site is still up. https://www.corriente.com/index.php

This is probably a much better comparison to EGX  than Fruta del Norte (which was a true high grade deposit). There are many similarities between Corriente and EGX that you’ll see if you read through the site.

Corriente sold their property based on Mirador even though there were several other porphyries on the property. EGX will be trying to sell itself based on Santa Barbara, even though there are several other porphyries showing potential.

Corriente was the first into Ecuador and at the time western investors were very leery of Ecuador as Correa had just become president and he was clearly no great fan of the West. He was also an advocate for the indigenous population that has a strong voice in Ecuador.  The Chinese made it clear that they were interested only in the resources and were not particularly concerned about western issues. They were not trying to build shareholder value. They just wanted the  resources.

Mirador is the first major copper deposit in Ecuador that has gone into production. Corriente had under 80,000,000 shares out, but they had nowhere near the gold or silver SB has. They sold for $8.60 a share.
