In pursuing its investment objectives, the Fund seeks to achieve favorable after-tax returns for its shareholders by seeking to minimize the U.S. federal income tax consequences on income generated by the Fund. Hedleylammar,

there are actually a few catalysts that can change the momentum of PTA and push the stock higher :

1: Positive news from Quinde3
2: Positive news from Langur2
3: Positive effect from the devaluation of the Colombian Peso
4: Positive effect from the devaluation of the Canadian Dollar
5: Positive effect from new Trucking route through Ecuador
6: Positive effect from The Colombian Government. They had a meeting yesterday and we are waiting to here the outcome.
Also don't forget that PTA has one of the lowest drilling costs in Colombia so any of the previous points that I mentioned could have a great positive effect on its balance sheet.

I do agree with you that PTA won't be bought out anytime soon and my reasoning is that my knowledge is that non of the big shareholders would consider any offer below 0.70 CAD.
