I tend to agree Tech1...... the fact that mgmt owns a large portion of the company and that they have a share buyback program in place. The question is to what end:
- push up share price
- take company private
- make it attractive as a takeout target
- prepare for mergers
Well regardless of the reason, they are results driven. My only concern (outside of the proposed Wof merger), is that if their mgmt owns over 50% of the company, then they can pass any motion to their benefit, such as taking the company private and then sell it for a major profit. In that case, the retail shareholds would have gotten scraps from the whole deal.
I must admit that I haven't taken a serious look at Almonty, hence my superficial analysis may amount to nothing more than wind.
