Mr. Marc Levy reports
PRESCIENT PROVIDES UPDATE ON MMPR LICENSE
Prescient Mining Corp. is providing an update of the status of Aurora Cannabis Enterprises Inc.'s application to become a licensed producer pursuant to the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR). Aurora is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurora Marijuana Inc.
In August, 2014, Health Canada (HC) conducted an inspection of Aurora's production facility, and in September, 2014, HC delivered the results of the inspection which included three citations, two of which were minor in nature. The third citation required that all HVAC systems be fully operational, the facility must be fully ready to take the product from seed stage to dried stage, and all components of the production facility must be in place and functional.
In November, 2014, Aurora requested HC to perform an inspection of the facility. Upon HC's request, Aurora provided it with the final drawings of all areas of the facility and a confirmation that Aurora is ready for the next inspection prior to granting of the licence.
Aurora worked diligently to complete the facility in accordance with HC's requirements. The company is pleased to report that Aurora's state-of-the-art facility is now ready and awaiting inspection by HC.
President and chief executive officer Marc Levy stated: "Health Canada has been in constant communication with Aurora since the application was submitted in July of 2013. They have been supportive whenever we have had questions or concerns regarding the application process. Health Canada's commitment to the integrity of the MMPR has been stellar; this is evidenced in the continual improvements made to the licensing procedure. We believe that HC will continue to set high and stringent processing standards. Canada has some of the very best regulations for access and delivery of safe and effective medical marijuana. Our experience with the Office of Controlled Substances has also been supportive throughout the process and excellent to deal with during the inspections of our facility. We consider becoming a licensed producer as an honour and a privilege."
The company extends its sincere appreciation to its shareholders for their continued support and understanding throughout this process.
We seek Safe Harbor.
