"Most prolific gold region"------Randgold

"Most prolific gold region"------RandgoldRandgold is describing Merrex's Diakha zone in the Mali-Senegal shear zone as one of the most prolific gold regions in Africa, to rival the big one in Ghana Obuasi.

"“We believe the Senegal-Mali shear zone, which hosts Loulo-Gounkoto, is one of the most prolific gold regions in Africa,
with the capacity to rival Ghana’s Obuasi, and we are continuing our hunt for more multi-million ounce gold deposits there. "

Also note that they are on the hunt for big deposits in the region. Boto is already a multi-million ounce deposit (including inferred resources) and early results indicate that Diakha could show 2 million oz near the surface, with underground not included. Karita is also on the Mali-Senegal shear zone and could yield another 2 million oz. Altogether, Boto/Karita/Diakha could easily total 8-10 million oz, something that could launch IMG into becoming a major producer.......or could make them a takeover target from Randgold who specifically wants something like this. Randgold could take over IMG at a premium, sell Westwood and Rosabel, operate Essakane, and effectively get a low op cost 8-10 million oz deposit for free.

The 2015 drilling program will establish just how prolific Diakha is, and how valuable it is. There will be few questions by the end of this year. I doubt that MXI will ever see the 43-101 as a new mine will be underway at Boto and the operator will buy Diakha prior to that.
