confusion about early data release...

confusion about early data release...
I find it confusing and concerning as to why the company released a "segment" of the data early when they originally claimed that the full report of the data would be released "mid-February".
They only caused harm to their company by releasing negative "early stage" results and not having the fully completed report to potentially back up or improve the outlook for the later stages of the trials, when they didn't have them ready to support the early stage findings.
It makes no sense unless this is a possible way to knock down the valuation of the company intentionally to allow the "people in the know" a way to get into position ahead of the future results. All one has to do is see the Thursday afternoon trading the day before the news broke that next Friday morning, as there were many getting out that Thursday afternoon where it went down from over 10+ dollars and closed at 9 dollars per share. It screams of insider info, in my opinion.
Most companies would not release info in a negative light without it being conclusive to the full information, and that is impossible to know because they do not have all of the report information finished yet. This is the strangest chain of events ive seen in a company possibly ever, and this is all my opinion but am I the only one who thinks this?
