RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Takeover?Let's all agree that the next month is going to tell us a lot. Fair enough?
If there's an imminent deal, my hat is off to you longers.
If not and the price falls with oil as I suspect it will, know that my puts are gonna be worth A LOT of money.

I am in alignment with Ubervak on the 5 to 10 year aspect. I am sure anyone who has COS in their sights is not looking at today's stock price in so much as the 37% stake COS has. That's a big deal in the long run...and being able to acquire this without any exploration or development costs is really forward thinking. There will have to be consolidation as well as workforce adjustments to get costs down. The Burger King/Tim Hortons deal is a case in point...400 middle managers just got their pink slips. There are some companies in Ft Mac who could likely get away with buying COS and perhaps adding one more filing cabinet in their office and a couple of GB of memory in their computers. This is pretty straightforward in my view...and as many on this site have reiterated, it is debateable how much value the COS management team has brought to the table.
My guess is still takeover target. But like everyone else here....it's just a guess.
