RE:RE:RE:Casing at Total DepthIf caseing is run, it is run continously over the open hole. It ussualy is run to surface but may only be run into the last casing string.
The well is planned (casing bought) and permitted to be completed as a producer. I am not sure how permitting works in Kenya but generally if the well is a duster you file a notice of your new plans to complete differntly (ie not run casing) or plug and abandon.
Being the first well in the area sounds like they are planning on casing to TD which makes sense when you don't know the local intergity of the formation.
The general sequence would be to drill to TD, clean, run logs, run casing, perf the casing and test. If there are multiple zones you might do quick drill stem tests with the rig to get info on each zone.
On later wells you might try a cheaper complition method.
