As you mention, no drilling is expected this year. Just the start of permitting, and maybe the building of a road. The stock is cheap, and the stock has no other catalyst in the near-future (save its cheapness) that should really excite a market. There is absolutely no reason that GCU should do fabulous as a stock this year unless it is bought out. So why did Hennigh expect it to do great this year ?
Anyway, good luck. I expected the financing to hurt the stock, and it didn't. I also expected the financing to mean that an M&A was not in the works, and it may well still be (as the financing was small, and not enough for them to advance the project much at all this year).
It does seem like mgmt will be rewarded with options soon (based on last year's press releases around this time) ... and perhaps the market will like that news too.
