Stick to FactsGeez, people...one of the reasons why I do not follow this board as much as I used to is the petty bickering and the moronic comments relating to whether or not AOS is going to be compensated for Clearwater.
One - the "rumour" of leases being given back is 100% false and the only place I've heard this "rumour" is here. Fort Mac has every intention of expanding their boundaries because anyone who thinks that oil prices aren't going to rebound is living in a fantasy world.
Two - the government of Alberta will pay AOS every penny that AOS is entitled to because it's the law. Governments pay their obligations, unless it's Greece...and fortunately, all governments in Canada pay their bills regardless of whether or not they have the money or not. Alberta's surplus/deficit has zero to do with AOS getting paid. If governments had to have surpluses to pay bills, Canada would have collapsed decades ago. Learn some basic economics.
Now that the abandonment process is complete, it's likely AOS will have news in the not too distant future. Stock will spike, people will take profits, stock price will likely rise even more after that happens if the BOD and management have a reasonable plan to move forward. Personally, I hope AOS winds the company down and pays out it's assets. In the interim, have patience, not many stocks are offering a guaranteed 50-100% return these days.
